VA Central Iowa Health Care System
VA Central Iowa healthcare System may be the result of the 1997 merger of the Diverses Moines and Knoxville, Iowa, VA Medical Centers. This integrated medical care system brings two formerly individual organizational structures, situated 40 kilometers apart, into one cohesive entity. The system provides the full continuum of healthcare services to veterans. The facility provides acute and specialized medical and medical solutions, as well as intensive outpatient therapy programs and post-traumatic anxiety treatment. It offers the full number of mental health, rehab, and long-lasting attention to veterans from a large geographic section of the Midwest. Special programs for intervention in alcohol and medications, Alzheimer's and homelessness are supplied when you look at the general continuum of care.
